linrob Instead of Other Palletizing Robots: Restacking Inside Containers

linrob Infinity Range -

Why install a seventh axis for a large industrial robot when you can simply achieve more with a small cobot?

After consulting with us, instead of installing a seventh axle for palletizing robots, our customer got:

• 30% more storage space • More turnover with simultaneous cost savings • A flexible expansion of production from 6 to 60 meters

The initial situation

WITHOUT LINROB

In a six-meter-long container, one of our customers lined up boxes that had to be moved regularly due to humidity and temperature. Before they had come across linrob, the relocation was done manually. Since this took a lot of time, they were looking for a reliable automation solution. Their first idea was a seventh axle with a large industrial robot, as is often used for palletizing. However, the palletizing robot solution is very cost-intensive and therefore not feasible for a young company.

The solution

WITH LINROB

That's when they came across linrob. During our consultation, we quickly understood that there were better solutions than a seventh axis with palletizing robot.

To illustrate this, we used our software to create a simulation, a so-called proof of concept, of a 3D range extender with extendable gripper.

Based on this, it became apparent to our customer that with the help of our space-saving, agile linear solution, 30% more storage space would be created - and thus significantly more turnover!

The increase in storage space with simultaneous cost savings thanks to our linrob 3D range extender convinced our customer completely. The decision to extend the container storage to 60 meters was made. What would not have been possible with a conventional palletizing robot was easy for us to implement: We simply lined up our axles and thus extended the x-axle of the floor assembly to the required 60 meters without any problems.

Conclusion

Thanks to our individually scalable linear robots, which do not lose accuracy even with large axle lengths, you achieve unprecedented flexibility, be it for wall, ceiling or floor mounting.

How it works?

With the help of our digital twin and simulations, we plan a customized linear robot for almost any industrial or manufacturing task. This way, we always find the best possible solution where you can seamlessly integrate any cobot or gripper. Our modular axle systems take care of the rest.
